F5 ARX File Virtualization Devices utilize industry-standard CIFS for Windows® devices and NFS for Unix® or Linux devices. The ARX2000 is compatible with nearly all Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices and file servers.

The ARX2000's patented split-path design separates the control and data paths. It is the only file virtualization and data management solution that is able to scale billions of files and handle gigabytes of throughput simultaneously.

An F5 ARX File Virtualization Device supports automatic service fail-over between, and data integrity is ensured throughout the entire process. It offers user-friendly management interfaces: a command line interface (CLI) and graphical user interface (GUI).

The ARX series is powered by the F5 Data Management Operating System. Its compilation of storage management policies includes: data replication, automated storage tiering, data migration, and dynamic network load balancing.
